UP Electronics Corporation Ltd is a Company Registered under the Companies Act, 1956 and was incorporated on 30.03.1974 and is Registered with Registrar of Companies, U.P., Kanpur vide Certificate of Incorporation No.3880 of 1974 issued on 30.03.1974. This Corporation is a wholly owned UP Govt undertaking wherein all the shares are held by his Excellency Governor of UP and his nominees. The Authorised share Capital of the Corporation is Rs. 90.00 Crores and paid up capital is Rs.87.66 crores. The Govt of UP has provided Rs.7.43 crores towards equity of the Corporation in respect of which shares are yet to be allotted.

    The Corporation was set up with the main object of promoting IT & Electronics Industry in the State of UP. The UP Electronics Corporation Ltd is presently engaged in computer Hardware Trading, e-procurement, Development of Computer Software and Computer Training through self and business associates Beside the Corporation is also involved in implementation of various projects/schemes allocated by the Govt from time to time through various implementing agencies. Some of the major projects/schems got implemented by the corporation are as follows:-

    Software Technology Parks-Lucknow and Allahabad:- The Scheme is implemented by Software Technology Park of India (STPI), a society set up by Ministry of I.T., Govt of India. The Corportaion has played the promotional work in this project.

The powers and duties of its officers and employees
    UP Electronics Corporation Ltd is managed by the Board of Directors constituted by the Govt. The day to day functions are discharged by the Managing Director, who is also appointed by the Board with the concurrence of the Govt. The Managing Director discharges his duties under the superintendence, Control and directions of the Board of Directors. The Managing Director is having the power to delegate a part of its authority to various officers of the Corporation. Presently the Corporation has 5 Divisions Viz.

1.Computer Hardware and P&S Division headed by Sri R.K. Balani, Manager (BDM).
2.E-procurement Division headed by Sri Praveen Kumar, Joint Manager.
3.Software Division headed by Sri Rahul Purwar, Assistant Manger.
4.Secretarial Division headed by Sri MM Siddiqui, Jt Manager (Secretarial).
5.Finance and Accounts Division headed by Sri Pradeep Kumar, Manager (Accounts).
6.Computer Education and Adminstration Division headed by Sri Ale Raza, Joint Manager, (CE & Admin).
7.Legal Division headed by Sri Madan Pal, Divisional In-charge (Legal).
8.The function of Personal Division are being looked into by Sri Rajesh Shah as Incharge (Personnel).
